Ann Wilson "Breathes New Life" (Seattle PI) Into Rock Standards On
Hope & Glory

After more than thirty years as the pioneering lead vocalist of Heart,
Ann Wilson breaks out with her solo debut Hope Glory (Zoë/Rounder).
The record features iconic artists like Elton John, Gretchen Wilson,
Alison Krauss and Rufus Wainwright accompanying Wilson on socially
conscious songs by Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Neil Young
and others.

ANN WILSON ROCKS VH1 CLASSIC AND DEBUTS SOLO MATERIAL ON HEART TOUR

Celebrating the release of her first solo album, Ann Wilson takes over
VH1 Classic on Sunday, September 9th. Starting at 5 pm/ ET, Wilson
takes fans inside her new record Hope & Glory (Sep. 11th, Zöe/Rounder)
debuting selections on “Inside Track: Ann Wilson.” Preceding that, the
second annual “VH1 Rock Honors” re-airs at 3 pm, paying homage to the
pioneers of rock. This year's special saluted Heart, the only
female-fronted band to receive the distinction with a much buzzed
about performance of `Barracuda' by Gretchen Wilson and Alice in
Chains. Wrapping up the rock block, Wilson hosts the “Women Who Rock
Countdown” at 5:30 pm/ ET.

Wilson will be performing songs from her solo album Hope & Glory
during Heart's upcoming live concerts.
